Daryl’s FIT TIP of The Day:
Tendonitis is the inflammation of a tendon. Symptoms include pain, numbness, tingling, and tenderness. Avoid ALCOHOL and CAFFEINE. These substances will INCREASE inflammation. Follow proper modality protocols (massage, ice/heat therapy, ultrasound, soaks, castor oil poultices). Soaking in Epsom salt with lavender can do wonders to reduce inflammation. Apply Arnica cream and wear an Ace bandage on more inflamed areas, especially close to the joint junction.
Nutritionally, take tumeric, calcium, magnesium, trace minerals, B Complex, and Vitamin C to reduce inflammation. For acute injuries follow the R.I.C.E. Principle.
