Eat a Variety of Foods

Daryl’s FIT TIP of the Day: 
Nature has provided us with a multitude of beautiful, delicious foods of all colors to choose from. Differnt foods contain different nutrients. We should eat a variety of foods each day in order to provide our bodies with the vitamins and minerals they need to be well. Remember, our bodies are made up of the earth’s elements. Our bones need calcium, our skin needs silicon, and our thyroid gland needs iodine to function properly. Each part of our body requires specific nutritnes. If you are accustomed to living on sodas and chips, coffee and doughnuts, or all fruit or all meat, you are not getting the wide variety of nutrients your body requires on a daily basis. Deficient organs become sick and will not function properly.
A great way to get a wide variety of colorful foods is to make up a salad with many different vegetables, add some protein and now you are getting a surge of nutrients YUMMMYYYYY!!!!
There is nothing better than eating REAL wholesome foods. Open up your palate to new tastes and reap the benefits of greater health.
