Daryl’s FIT TIP of the Day:
Consuming too much sugar wrecks havoc on your internal energy processes. The simple sugars, glucose and fructose, are metabolized in your liver, with the excess being stored as fat lipids. Excess fat synthesis deactivates your SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) gene, causing your levels of SHBG protein to drop dramatically, and it is this SHBG protein that controls your testosterone and estrogen levels.
Too little SHBG in the body increases the production of testosterone and estrogen, which is why eating lots of sugar causes acne, infertility, fat gain, heart disease, cancer, and polycystic ovaries.
Avoid over-consuming sugar (glucose and fructose) to maintain healthy physiological functioning. A HEALTHY liver is a HAPPY liver. The less strain the liver has to do to metabolize excess sugar intake the better the natural energy flow is maintained.
