If you were to drive from Kennebunk to Boston would you take gas out of the tank before you left? Of course not, the engine can’t run without enough gas. Then why are people being taught to exercise more and eat less to lose weight? This concept is incorrect. The more you drive the engine (muscle) the more you have to eat to keep it fueled, repaired, and re-synthesized. Exercising without proper nutrient intake will cause a catabolic effect, resulting in muscle wasting and fat gain.
