The trick is to eat enough protein and fat throughout the day without taking in too many carbohydrates. It is sometimes hard eat protein without eating carbs as well. Many bars, shakes, etc. have a high level of carbohyrates mixed in with the protein. This is a poor combination. The sugar is only in there to help promote greater taste and sale of the product. Try to eat low carb high protein foods.
