Muscle Wasting: Sarcopenia

Did you know that on average we lose 1% of our muscle tissue per year after the age of 40? This is a process known as sarcopenia. When this occurs you can never regain that tissue again. Loss of muscle results in the gaining of fat. To avoid the affects of sarcopenia it has been proven that performing weight training exercise 3 times a week will reduce muscle wasting and help excess fat storage.
