The Need for Speed

To gain more speed for running it is important to do more than running through obstacles or repetitive sprinting. You must train the muscles using many different techniques utilizing resistance, weights, bands, plyometrics and various foot drills. Coordinating  higher levels of motor control through neuromuscular coding is important for recruiting more fast twitch muscle fibers. Optimal fast twitch firing will produce more speed.
