Vacationing in the Lipotropics

In continuation of the fat topic. Here is a little diddy about lipotropic agents.

Lipotropic refers to moving fat in the body. It is important to have sufficient amounts of lipotropic agents in the daily diet to help prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver. These agents include choline, vitamin B-12, inositol, L-Carnitine. Unfortunately, most people have no idea what these nutrients are or what foods contain them. Eating food for the sake of eating without understanding what the food does in the body is just plain silly, but this is how most folks eat. When I tell someone that they need to consume more lipotropic foods they look at me like I am out of this world. When I ask them what they eat during the day, they tell me that they eat fat free yogurt, fat free milk, fat free eggs, fat free meat. Like I have mentioned in past blogs, if you eliminate fat from your diet you will have a problem. Keep in mind that healthy fat burns fat from the body. Lipotropic agents help move the fat. If anyone wants to know more about which foods and nutrients are great lipotropics ask me at The Fitness Nut House, or email me dconant2004@yahoo.com.
